Meet the Executive Team
Alessandra Beelen
Director of Registration
My name is Alessandra Beelen, and I’m in 10th grade. I’m from the Netherlands and have been living in Hangzhou for the past eleven years. This gave me the opportunity to see the Westlake MUN Conference grow, and this will be the second year as part of the executive team. My job this year is to organize the registration part of the conference, which is a crucial aspect to having a successful conference. I will be in contact with school’s delegations and directors. After such a wonderful conference last year, I look forward to the new and exciting events that will take place here at HIS.
Gabriel Tan
Chief of Staff
Hello. My name is Gabriel and I am in 10th grade and I am going to be the Chief of Staff for the 2016 West Lake MUN conference. Since I have been to several conferences and have had many different experiences, I wanted to have a brand new experience and I wanted to see what happens before, during, and after a conference. Being the Chief of Staff, I relay the problems to the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General. As the Chief of Staff, I hope to relay the problems during the conference as quickly as I can so I can provide the delegates an enjoyable, error free conference.
Apoorva Kishore
Director of Communication
My name is Apoorva Kishore and I currently study in grade 10. I am the Director of Communication for the 2016 Westlake conference, which is being held in November. As the director of communication, I communicate with the school administration, teachers and students regarding any details about the conference. This includes recruitment and training of the admin staff. For our conference this year, I wish to improve the admin experience, since that’s a very important part of my job. I truly want to help the Secretary General and along with the executive team make a very successful conference.
Sahil Jashnani
Junior Director of Communication
Hello my name is Sahil Jashnani and I’m in 10th grade. My position is the Director of Communication. The director of communication’s role is mainly to recruit, train, and organize admins. This requires the one who’s holding this position to know at least what an admin has to do. This job also includes talking to all teachers and students about any complications, either relaying these complications or receiving them and then relaying them to the chief of staff.
Christian Engberg
Director of Technology
Hello everyone, I am Christian Engberg and I am currently in 10th Grade. I am the Director of Media and Technology for the MUN Leadership team here at Hangzhou. I am in charge of anything social media related, for example, our WeChat page as well as our website where we update information about the West lake Conference regularly. I believe that our team is very talented and we have great potential, I am excited for the future and cannot wait to see the things we can achieve and accomplish together. As Dwyane Wade said, “No team works without teamwork”.
Aanvi Chadha
Junior Director of Technology
Hi my Name is Aanvi and I am the MUN director of Technology. I am 11 years old, I am in 7th grade. I have been at Hangzhou International school for 8 years. I really enjoy doing MUN. I have experience as delegate and admin, but this is the first time I’m a part of a leadership team. I am hoping that I can be helpful. I am looking forward for another great year with the HIS MUN team.
